Avalanche Awareness Class In Bozeman Next Month

With the avalanche danger high in the mountains near Bozeman, Friends of the Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center and Bozeman Parks and Rec are partnering to provide avalanche awareness classes.

The free lecture is only open to women.

The lecture will go over avalanche terrain recognition, weather's impact on avalanche hazards, decision making skills and basic search and rescue procedures.

The class will be January 16 and February 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Beall Park Recreation Center.
