Second MSU Fraternity Agrees To Alcohol Sanctions

BOZEMAN -

A second fraternity at Montana State University has agreed to put sanctions in place after the fraternity violated the University's alcohol policy.

The Sigma Chi fraternity has agreed to eliminate the consumption of hard alcohol in their fraternity house and require its members to be educated about sexual assault.

Earlier this month, MSU Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity also agreed to put alcohol sanctions in place.

These sanctions come after two alleged sexual assaults occurred at the fraternity houses in September.

The MSU Police Department has conducted a criminal investigation of the alleged assaults and turned its findings over to the Gallatin County for possible prosecution.
