Lady Cats vs Carroll College

Posted: Updated:
Before the lady cats start their conference schedule, they host Carroll College tomorrow night. Playing a Montana team is special for these two Montana natives.

"I like playing schools from Montana it's great. I'm playing against girls I played AAU with  grew up playing with and against it's going to be a lot of fun.  It's going to be really emotional for them. We are the division I team so they looked up to come to Montana State so there's always that big emotion and they're going to play their hearts out," said junior forward Jackie Elliott.

"It's a lot of fun playing with against Montana girls is just cool because we've gained a relationship over the years so eve though we're competing with each other, we do like each other off the court," said junior guard Kalli Durham.

The fighting Saints will actually prepare MSU well for it's first conference game in Sacramento.

"Carroll's a great game for us to open up conference we get to focus on ourselves mostly and they're a good competition they shoot the 3 ball really well and we open up against Sac State who shoots the 3 ball best in our conference right now so it's really good for us," said Elliott.

"Momentum is really important in the game of basketball and we want to be playing well going into conference play this game matters in a lot of different ways going into Christmas break as well where we have a little bit of time off and we want to get our fans into it," said head coach Tricia Binford.

"I think it's crucial for us to get a win get in front of our crowd  get excited to go into Christmas break starting with conference we need to come out and start on a clean slate and go from there," said Durham.
