Whitefish Stabbing Woman Pleads Not Guilty

The Whitefish woman, who allegedly stabbed her husband, pleaded not guilty in Flathead District Court on Thursday.

Whitefish police say 39-year-old Annmari Newton attacked her husband, 37-year-old Chad Newton, on November 25 while their two young children were at home with them.

She is charged with assault with a weapon.

Chad Newton was taken to Kalispell Regional Medical Center for emergency surgery, and remains in the ICU on life support.

Annmari Newton will be in court again as early as March 5.
