Gallatin Valley Holiday Food Drive

BOZEMAN -

Every month the Gallatin Valley Food Bank distributes more than 60,000 food boxes to people in need.

The food bank's annual holiday drive is taking place on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteers will be coming around and picking up non-perishable food items at people's doors in Bozeman and Belgrade.

The Gift of Food is one of the food drives that helps sustain food at the bank for December and January.

"The generosity of the community is amazing," said Jill Holder, Gallatin Valley Food Bank ."I feel like sometimes we ask a lot, but the need is there. We are so grateful when our community steps up to the plate and helps out."

The food bank is always looking for more volunteers and could use some extra helping hands for the event.
