It was a disappointing for the Grizzly football team and their fans. after weeks of talking about the benefit of playing at home for the Griz.
The team fell in their first playoff game to Coastal Carolina. While the end of the season means the end of Grizzly careers for several all-time greats. It is also a reminder that football will come again next fall, and coach Mick Delaney's message to his players is positive.
The message will be make sure you smell the roses a little bit, and don't go feeling sorry for yourself. We've accomplished some great things together, and now step away from football get your finals done, go home and enjoy family and friends, and regenerate so to speak. Then come back and re-focus as hard as they did this year, but number one they have to do their finals, get that taken care of as well as they should, and get away from football for a bit, and enjoy the other things in life," says Delaney.
