Belgrade City Manager Candidates Interviewed Wednesday

BELGRADE -

The Belgrade City Council is one step closer to deciding who will be the next city manager.

After a nationwide search, the council narrowed it down to three candidates, none are from Montana.

Ted Barkley is currently the city manager of Ellensburg, Wash.

Ben Bifoss served as city manager of Traverse City, Mich., and Jack Cameron was the administrator for the Village of Evendale, Ohio.

Tomorrow, each candidate will have three sets of interviews in front the council, a committee of city department heads and community members.

"The council will then get together and decide what they want to do as far as proceed with one of the candidates or start new, where ever the process takes them," said E.J. Clark, Acting Belgrade City Manager.

The council is holding a special meeting Wednesday at 5 p.m. to make a decision.
