Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

The City of Bozeman welcomes the state's third police foundation to bolster support for community events.

The Bozeman Police Department Foundation made the announcement Tuesday afternoon at the Bozeman Public Library.

The foundation is an independent organization that focuses on building education and outreach for the community.

They are currently working on raising money for programs and other community items, such as school speed zone radar signs.

"We are going to be selling food items at the Christmas Stroll," said Capt. Mark Johnson of the Bozeman Police Department. "And the board has decided to sell donuts covered in bacon."

The Christmas Stroll is Saturday in Downtown Bozeman.

The foundation has yet to set a fundraising goal.
