Wastewater Impact Fee Still Stalled

Posted: Updated:
KALISPELL -

With only two of five members showing up Tuesday, November 26, the impact fee advisory committee is unable put a cap on almost a year's worth of work and put a recommendation to Kalispell city council.

About $3,500 is the proposed hike.

The increase is due, in part, to the nearly $22 million expansion of the wastewater treatment plant back in 2009.

"We would have had a recommendation this evening, but we ended up not having a quorum so we treated it as a work session," said Chad Graham, the head of the committee.

The next committee meeting is December 17.

Graham hopes to finalize a recommendation then, so the council can make a decision sometime in the new year.
