Photos with Santa Benefit Big Sky Honor Flight

We're still a week away from Thanksgiving, but Santa Clause made an early visit to the University of Montana this afternoon for a fundraiser.

The UM Gerontology Society -- a student group focused on the aging population and senior-related medical professions -- hosted the photo opportunity with Saint Nick.

The group charges $5 per photo, and all proceeds benefit the Big Sky Honor Flight, which flies WWII veterans to Washington, D.C. to see their memorial.

Michael Lawrence, UM Gerontology Society, said, "And so, while we can still support them and give them different opportunities while they're still here, that means a lot to us and to the community."

Members of the student group said last year, they raised $750 through the fundraiser -- just enough to send one vet on the flight.
