Missoula City Council is set to take a vote Monday night on a contract giving rental assistance to low-income families.
If approved, the contract would allow the non-profit, Women's Opportunity Resource Development or WORD, to use grant money from the city to give low income families rental assistance through security deposits and limited monthly assistance.
Also on the agenda, a public hearing will be held on a controversial ordinance which limits public fireworks displays in city limits on New Year's Eve. A second public hearing will look at an ordinance expanding residential permit parking in the University District to another half a block of Mansfield Ave.
The meeting starts Monday at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers.
