KHQ.COM - Lookout Pass will be opening for the 2013-14 season on Thursday the 21st. From Spokane or Missoula, get on I-90 and head for the Idaho/Montana border. It takes approximately 90 minutes to get to Lookout Pass coming from either direction. Hit the off ramp at Exit 0. Our parking lot is 200 yards ahead. In a few minutes you'll be on the snow!

This fire has burned over 250,000 acres becoming the largest wildfire in Washington state history. According to the Okanogan County Sheriff the number of homes destroyed by the fire is estimated to be 300 since the fire started on July 14th.
