Rummage Sale To Benefit The Warming Center

Posted: Updated:

The Human Resource Development Council still needs the community's help to raise $13,000 to open the Warming Center on time.

On Saturday, the Bozeman Yoga Center will host a rummage sale to raise $50,000, the amount needed to open the Warming Center.

All donations made to the Warming Center will be matched by a generous donor. Sara Savage with the HRDC said last year over 130 people used the Warming Center.

"There is nothing else like the Warming Center in our community. When the Warming Center is closed the men, women and families who have no other place to go are left out in the cold or staying in their vehicles," said Savage.

The Warming Center is scheduled to open on December first. Savage said if they get enough donations, they will open earlier.

Saturday's fundraising event will take place at 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
