Two Teens Cited for Attempting to Derail Train

Posted: Updated:

Two teens are cited for allegedly attempting to derail a train near Clinton.

A few weeks ago Montana rail link officials identified three teenage boys between the ages of 15 and 16 as the suspects who put a culvert full of rocks on the train tracks.

The investigation was handed over to the Missoula County Sheriff's office.

Sheriff's officials sent citations of criminal mischief and criminal trespassing to two of the teens.

Their names are not being released.

They will now face a judge in youth court.

No one was injured in the incident but the prank did cause damage to the train and the tracks.
