Voters also approved a mill levy on Tuesday night to help expand Gallatin College.

The $369,856 mill levy will be used to offer new courses, new programs and continue to grow the college's dual enrollment classes.

The Dean of Gallatin College said the institution is very happy the voters supported the work they are doing.

"We were just thrilled," said Bob Hietala, Gallatin College Dean. "You just never know until you get election results what it will mean. We just really felt good that the message got through and that people are supporting 2-year education."

12,970 voters approved the mill levy, 961 voters did not. The levy will increase taxes by $2.08 for a property valued at $100,000.
