Habitat Rewarded For Saying Thanks

Posted: Updated:
EVERGREEN -

Flathead's Habitat for Humanity is saying thanks to Plum Creek for all they have given, and in return, Plum Creek is handing over a hefty check.

Plum Creek in Evergreen donated $5,000 to the organization right after Habitat staff presented a thank-you banner to more than thirty employees.

This is the latest move in an ongoing partnership to build sixteen homes in Columbia Falls.

Already, Plum Creek has given building materials such as two by fours and two by sixes.

"They're working hard to provide affordable housing to people and we provide lumber products so again it's just kind of a good fit for us," explained Greg Grace, a manager at Plum Creek.

Grace says this generous gesture would not be possible if the Evergreen plant had not reopened at the end of March.

The plant shut down back in 2009 because it was not able to make a profit.
