88 People In Missoula Receive Wrong Ballot

Posted: Updated:

Missoula County Elections officials said almost 90 people got the wrong ballot in the mail. Officials said they've been redistricting, and some errors were entered in the system.

You must live within the city limits to vote in the municipal election. To receive an urban transportation ballot, you have to be taxed by the urban transportation district and be registered to vote at that address. For example, if you own property that's taxed by the Missoula Urban Transportation District, but you're not registered to vote at that address, you would not receive a ballot.

"You can always go to city website and look at the city ward maps, or you can contact us, and we can do some research and what we do is call the city and ask if that address is indeed in the city limits," said Missoula County elections administrator Vickie Zeier.

All ballots are due back by 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 5. For more information go to the Missoula County Website.
