Butte Hosts Charlie Judd Memorial Halloween Party

Posted: Updated:
BUTTE -

Hundreds of trick-or-treaters in Butte participated in the second annual Charlie Judd Memorial Halloween Party.

Judd was known in Butte for hosting Halloween parties every year in low-income areas of the Mining City.

When Judd passed away, the parties stopped.

This year "Butte Celebrations", a group known for its Butte parties, decided to honor Judd by hosting a party at the Butte Plaza Mall.

"He was a great person in the community and we would like to keep the memory of the Halloween party continuing," said Pete Devine with Butte Celebrations. "This is something Butte Celebrations can do and we would like to continue."

Almost 400 people attended Thursday's Halloween party in honor of Charlie Judd.

Butte Celebrations say they plan to continue the Halloween party tradition in the future.
