Humans Battle Zombies at University of Montana

A group of just four zombies has grown to a herd of 80, and right now they're roaming across campus at the University of Montana.

The name of the game is Humans vs. Zombies -- a game of moderated tag, played at schools, in neighborhoods, and even on military bases across the world.

Four UM students signed up as zombies, and 100 people signed up to play humans.

When a zombie tags a human, they become a member of the undead, but if a human strikes a zombie with a nerf gun, the zombie is immobilized for 10 minutes.

David Driscoll, a UM sophomore, said, "You see people running as fast as they can away from zombies trying to get into buildings, and then there's a few people, those really good, die-hard humans, you'll see them walking around, they're like, they've got like four or five nerf guns, some have fully automatic nerf guns."

The game has been going on for three days across campus.

The final battle between the humans and zombies took place on Halloween night on the Oval at UM.
