Rep. Daines Recognizes Montana Veterans

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

Representative Steve Daines visited Bozeman on Friday to recognize Montana veterans.

Daines met with local organizations like the American Legion and Troopers to Teachers, which work with veterans to make sure they get the help they need after they come back from war.

Daines said the top issue veterans face after they come back from combat is unemployment. Job service reps said 20 veterans come every month to the Bozeman Job Service seeking employment.

"We have a passionate veteran community here and it's so important that we keep listening to the issues that our veterans have when they come back from war," said Daines.

Daines adds veteran support is one of the issues that usually both sides of the aisle agrees on and both parties fight for.
