"Bobcat Blue" Light Poles Installed On Seventh Avenue

Posted: Updated:
BOZEMAN -

You might notice new street lights in Bozeman along North Seventh Avenue between Jupiter and Interstate 90.

Crews just completed installing the decorative "Bobcat Blue" light poles.

The City Urban Renewal Board partnered with Montana State University for the project in an effort to help revitalize North Seventh Avenue.

M.S.U. donated "Welcome to Bozeman" banners on most of the new light poles.

The board wanted to find something for the North Seventh corridor that provided better visuals and safety.

"They found new street lights can provide both, the esthetics as well as public safety with the new efficient lighting as well as intersection markers," said Allyson Brekke, Neighborhood Planner.

Eventually, the new lights will be installed all the way to Main Street.
