A woman is suffering from serious injuries Wednesday after she was hit by a car in downtown Bozeman.
Bozeman police said a woman was walking across Main Street in the crosswalk at Tracy around 12:45 Wednesday afternoon.
Captain Dave McManis said the distracted driver of the car was turning east onto Main Street when she lost sight of the woman and struck her.
The pedestrian was taken to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, Brandy Nielson, was arrested and charged with careless driving resulting in serious bodily injury, driving with no seatbelt and driving without insurance.
