Skiers Soon To See New Slopes And Space

WHITEFISH -

This winter, skiers at Whitefish Mountain Resort will see $1.6 million worth of new additions.

Four new intermediate runs are awaiting skiers on the North side of the ski area, accessible from the Big Foot T-bar.

The Base Lodge is also growing, adding a twelve-hundred square foot room--about a hundred seats--with a view of the beginner slopes.

Next season (2014-2015), visitors can look forward to having three more runs and a new chairlift.

"We're really excited. We need the space here at the Base Lodge and it will be nice to add those new seats this year," said Riley Polumbus, the Resort's spokeswoman.

The Gunsight Room is the name of the new room, located right next door to the Mt. Jackson Room.
