Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Butte Dies

BUTTE -

A pedestrian struck by a vehicle last Friday night in Butte has died.

According to Butte-Silver Bow County Coroner Lee Lebreche, the pedestrian, John Hollander, died at a Great Falls hospital last night from his injuries.

Hollander was struck while crossing Harrison Avenue just north of Civic Center Road around 8 p.m.

Hollander was taken to St. James Healthcare following the incident and then airlifted to a Great Falls hospital.

The victim was a transient and did not have any identification on him at the time of the accident.

The driver of the vehicle has not been cited, although blood was drawn to test for drugs or alcohol.
