The Bobcats traveled to Ogden, Utah Saturday to face Weber State and didn't come home empty handed. DeNarius McGhee led MSU to a 34-16 victory and passed the 10,000 mark in career passing yards.

Montana State scored on their first drive of the game jumping to a quick 6-0 lead. The Wildcats came back just as fast putting up a 3 point field goal and a touchdown to pull ahead to a 10 – 6 lead over MSU at the end of the first. The Cats started to put things together in the 2nd quarter and with two touchdowns the Bobcats led Weber State 19-10 to end the half.

As the third quarter began Weber State scored but the Bobcats picked up the ball on the PAT attempt and returned it for a two point conversion giving MSU a 21 – 16 lead to end the third. The fourth quarter was all Bobcats. Two more touchdowns and the game ended with the MSU winning 34–16.

MSU had a total of 479 yards with 313 passing and 166 rushing. Weber State passed the Bobcats in total yardage putting up 497 thanks in large part to Austin Chipoletti who was 26 of 38 for 309 yards. MSU is now 5-2 for the season and remains undefeated in conference play at 3-0.
