Women's Health Summit Set for Saturday

MISSOULA -

A national nonprofit will host the first-ever Women's Health and Environment Summit in Missoula tomorrow.

Women's Voices for the Earth is dedicated to strengthening women's voices and eliminating toxic chemicals that harm their health.

Organizers said around 50 female professionals from across Montana will share their expertise with members of the public during the event.

Cassidy Randall, of Women's Voices for the Earth, said, "How do toxic chemicals get into our bodies, what are they doing to our health, how can we avoid them in our everyday life, and then we want to connect this issue to what's going on in Montana."

The event takes place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Stensrud building at 314 N. 1st St. W., and will be followed by a storytelling and musical event at 7:30 in the UM recital hall on campus.
