MSU Police Present Sexual Assault Incidents To County Attorney

Posted: Updated:

Montana State University law enforcement recommends criminal charges be pressed against male suspects who allegedly sexual assaulted two women last month.

MSU Chief of Police, Robert Putske said on Thursday his detectives presented the evidence from their investigation to the county attorney's office who will decide if charges will be pressed.

The two alleged incidents happened at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house and one occurred at the Sigma Chi Fraternity house.

Gallatin County Attorney, Marty Lambert said when a case like this is presented to him, he reviews the information to see if any additional investigation needs to be done.

Then if there is sufficient evidence, he will decide what charges should or should not be filed.
