Habitat for Humanity Searching for Volunteers

Posted: Updated:
BUTTE -

Habitat for Humanity in Butte is searching for volunteers for their upcoming Habitat Blitz.

To celebrate their 20th year in southwestern Montana, Habitat for Humanity will be building six new houses in Butte as part of the Habitat Blitz.

The event will begin tomorrow and to help with the building, Habitat for Humanity is searching for volunteers.

Habitat officials say they hope for 100 total helpers from any type of construction background.

"Volunteerism is a big thing of what Habitat does in general," said Jordan Backstrom with Habitat for Humanity. "That's how we're able to make these things work. By getting people in the community involved, working on the houses, it helps build that sense of community throughout the town."
