Missoula City Council Takes Vote On Water Company Purchase

MISSOULA -

Missoula City Council members approved a public hearing on Mayor John Engen's proposal to buy Mountain Water Company Monday night.

Mayor Engen took his proposal to Missoula City Council last month, saying it would be better if the city owned their own water rather than a corporation. Now, he's asking the city to authorize him to start negotiations.

The public hearing is set for October 21.
