Last season Brayden Konkol played mostly defense. He only played quarterback in one game. This year Konkol starts under center. His athleticism was the reason for the change.
"It's a big difference from last year because I didn't play no quarterback last year played more defense but this year I consider myself more duel threat more dynamic," said Konkol.
"His athletic ability just because last year we threw him at quarterback. He's very smart we play him on defense at strong safety because he has that sixth sense that football sense and at quarterback he runs hard he's a downhill runner," said head coach Eric Kinnaman.
His teammate knows what kind of playmaker he is.
"He's an athlete he's speed he's strong he's tough to take to tough to take down without a fight," said senior wide receiver Tristan Walker.
Konkol is one dominant rusher. He is the running back for the Panthers. But he's been working on his passing.
"I just worked on my throwing form my technique throughout the summer. I learned my reads just learning the routs getting chemistry with the wide receivers," said Konkol.
"We are a running team and Brayden is our running back slash quarterback but we have to get better in the passing game if we want to contend for a state championship," said Kinnaman.
