Candidate Announces Running For Gallatin County Commissioner

On Wednesday, Barb Blum announced she will run for Gallatin County Commissioner position in the 2014 election.

Blum made her announcement during the Gallatin County Republican Women's meeting. Blum was one of three candidates who was chosen to fill the vacant seat when bill Murdock announced his retirement, but Pierre Martineau was chosen instead.

Blum has a degree economics, has run many businesses and has been behind the scenes in several political campaigns.

"I have had to make very tough decisions on budget matters in my own life and in my business, so I know how difficult it is to cut," said Blum.

No one else has announced they will be running for the position.
