Judge Rules Trailer Park Operating Illegally

BOZEMAN -

A Gallatin County District Court Judge rules a trailer park in Three Forks is operating illegally.

A complaint filed by the Gallatin County Health Department said the trailer park was infested with rodents, had excessive uncontaminated trash piled on trailers, more trailers on the property than allowed and unpermitted sewer systems.

Judge Salvagni ordered the owner of the trailer park, Gene Morgan to only rent one out of the five trailers out because the others did not meet health standards.

Morgan argues the trailers were cleaned professionally and the renters did not take care of them.

"They were way behind on their rent and they did have garbage around the trailer too," said Morgan. "I had people come in there to clean up these places."

Morgan has two weeks to clear the occupants of the trailer. If Morgan would like to operate the trailers in the future, he must submit plans  to the health department by the end of the year.
