School Bond Approved By Voters

BOZEMAN -

Residents in the Monforton School District approved a $2.9 million dollar bond to expand the current school in a vote of 430 to 249.

The money will be used to add three new classrooms, renovate the current lunchroom, add a new community center and a fire access drive.

In 2010, voters passed a $3.5 million dollar bond for expansion.

School officials expect the school's population to double by 2015 and say more space will be necessary.

This bond will cost each taxpayer about $28 based on a $100,000 home.
