Griz Prep for UND

Posted: Updated:
When the Grizzlies play face North Dakota on Saturday they will be looking for revenge.  UND set Big Sky records for passing yards in a game with 660  and Greg Hardin set a record with 330 yards all by himself.  For the defense this is a pride game.

"Yea I mean when we talk about trying to forget about last year there's a lot of things we don't want to think about but with that being said we haven't forgotten what they did to us and its definitely in the forefront of our minds and we don't want to have a repeat of what happened last year so we are looking forward to the game," said Sophomore Defensive End Zack Wagenmann.

If the Griz want to win they will have to slow down the quick number 84.

"Their offense and Greg Hardin is a dynamic player he is very quick he's fast and has a ton of explosive big plays that's why he has all the yards he does and why he's a preseason All-American," said Griz Head Coach Mick Delaney

"They do want to throw the ball and get it to their play makers, they have a very good receiver, number 84 Greg Hardin, and he's able to make big plays and they try to get the ball to him," said Wagenmann.

One thing the Griz will look to exploit is a UND defense that struggles stopping the run.  They gave up nearly 300 yards on the ground last week and Montana can run the ball with the best of them.

"We are looking at them and I think they let up something like 290 yards rushing so we are going into it thinking we can run the ball. We definitely have some stuff going in that we can take advantage of and that Coach K (Kefense Hynson) is cooking up," said Griz Junior Running Back Jordan Canada.

One important note to remember that although North Dakota is a member of the Big Sky this game will not count as a conference match.
