The Flathead is paying homage to the victims of September 11 on the streets with their annual Freedom Walk.
The American Legion in the Flathead organized the walk, as they have done for more than the past five years.
Veterans, policemen, and firefighters, as well as the public joined the procession at the Legion's post on Fourth Avenue, ending in Depot Park.
Participants of all ages carried flags and banners.
The walk ended with a speech in front of the Flathead County Veteran's Memorial.
"History does repeat itself and if we are not vigilant, if we don't keep in the forefront of our minds, it may happen again," explained Ray Anderson, the commander of the American Legion Post Number 137 in Kalispell.
The Freedom Walk began at 1:30 this afternoon with about three dozen walkers.
