This Sunday, runners in Bozeman will remember those who were injured during the Boston marathon while running the Bozeman marathon.
Organizers expect about 800 runners from 30 states and four countries to participate in the race.
As a safety precaution after the April 15 attacks, Bozeman marathon runners will receive clear gear bags to ensure race volunteers there is nothing of concern in them.
Co-Race Director, Tyler Wilkinson said both the Police and Sheriff's office will be on call during the entire marathon.
"It's been great having the city come on board this year with all the local businesses and getting permission to finish on Main Street," said Wilkinson. "It is great for all of the out of staters that are coming into town, but all the support the community has been giving us this year has been overwhelming."
Money raised from the marathon will be donated to three local organizations, Run Bozeman, the Track Cub and Family Promise.
If you have not yet signed up for the race, you can do so at the Bozeman Running Company.
