Four and a half million dollars in federal funding will help build a trail from Lolo to Missoula. The trail will be the last link in a 50 mile contiguous path from downtown Missoula to the city of Hamilton.
The project will cost $5.48 million with the majority of the funds being awarded through this
Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) discretionary grant program. Remaining funds for the project are provided by the City of Missoula ($400,000), Missoula County ($400,000) and the Montana Department of Transportation ($100,000).
