Suspicious Person Approaches Child in Belgrade

The Belgrade Police Department received information that a student in the after school program at Quaw-Heck Elementary was approached by a stranger yesterday at 5 p.m.

According to the police, an adult male called the boy over to the playground fence and offered the student candy.

A staff member observed the interaction and called for the student to come back toward the school, at which time the male turned and walked away.

The man is described as an adult white male, approximately 30 to 35 years old, with short dark hair, medium build, and of medium height. He was said to be wearing a MSU Bobcats t-shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Belgrade Police Department at (406)-388-4262.
