Teams Resume Search for Man on Placid Lake

Posted: Updated:
PLACID LAKE -

Four search and rescue teams will resume their search for a missing Great Falls man on Placid Lake Saturday morning.

DelRay Saeman, 69, went missing one week ago while camping near the lake with his wife.

Investigators said Saeman took his boat out on the water, which was found later drifting towards shore with no one in it.

Search and rescue teams from Seeley-Swan and Flathead, Lake and Missoula Counties are coordinating efforts.

Detective Paige Pavalone with the Missoula County Sheriff's Office said, "We're super grateful that all the other agencies are offering their services to help us, because basically, we're pulling out all the stops, they've got the best of the best up there trying to locate this person, and just utilizing every bit of manpower and technology and resources that we have."

Officials said crews will be joined by two search dogs from Billings, scuba dive teams, and they'll use sonar equipment on the search.
