The wish of a seriously ill Montana child can now come true, thanks to motorcycle drivers who bought a special Montana license plate.

On Thursday, the Montana Department of Justice announced more than $67,000 in grants. These funds were created through the sale of a special Chrome for Kids motorcycle license plate.

The money spent on the plates went to Montana-based non profits that grant wishes to chronically or critically ill children in the state.

"You know, it's really hard in general for family's who are dealing with a seriously ill child, and often times that diagnoses brings a financial struggle to families as well," said Anastasia Burton.

Grant applications are accepted at the Montana Department of Justice through the end of October. Grants will be awarded in November.
