Judge Sets Trial Date for Former Daycare Owner

Posted: Updated:

A former Missoula daycare owner accused of leaving a toddler in a hot van last summer will have a trial on November 1.

Melanie Hoke and two of her former Tot Town Daycare employees are accused of leaving a 3-year-old boy in a van while they took a group of children into a theater to watch a movie last July.

In May, Hoke pleaded not guilty to negligent endangerment and failure to report known or suspected child abuse or neglect back.

The State Department of Health and Human Services revoked Tot Town's license last August.
