Belgrade Schools Finds Place For All Students

All students will have a home tomorrow when they start school in Belgrade Wednesday.

On August 15 school officials announced Belgrade's new elementary school, Saddle Peak, was already too full.

The district had to move about 22 families in the valley grove subdivision from Saddle Peak to the existing elementary, Heck/Quaw.

Belgrade Public Schools superintendent says communication was key in this process.

"We wrote a letter to our parents explaining our situation and followed up with a personal phone call to each family," said Candy Lubansky, Belgrade Public Schools Superintendent.

Lubansky says no families were split up when they had to move students from Saddle Peak to Heck/Quaw.

School begins Wednesday.
