Belgrade Football Has The Experience

Posted: Updated:
Two years ago, Belgrade had one victory. Last season the Panthers won six games and made the playoffs. Head coach Eric Kinnaman brings back a lot of experience to make a deep run this year.

"During the 1-8 season we had a lot of sophomores and now they're seniors so I think we have the experience we're still young up front so that is one thing that will be a key to our success," said Eric Kinnaman.

"We've had experience from years past and we've learned and we won't make mistakes we'll be able to perform perfectly on game one and from there on keep learning and less mistakes as we go," said senior linebacker Garet Fowler.

Games are won in the trenches. And if Belgrade has one concern, it's in the O and D lines.

"It always comes down to the guys up front we're very skilled at our skilled positions running back wide receiver safety up front is where we lost 3 out of our 5 starters on offense and those were all conference guys so it's not a weakness but a concern of mine," said Kinnaman.

"When we're in the trenches we feel the pain and we struggle but through that struggle we're going to make it all better because the harder the fall the more you're going to get back up and conquer it," said senior linebacker Jakobee Cotton.

This year's team can be special, because of it's work ethic.

"I've been so impressed from this crew this might be the best crew I"Ave had going thru two a days we haven't had a bad practice we've had a down practice but not a bad practice the emotions are high and hopefully we can go with that to the butte central week," said Kinnaman.
