Baucus Bringing Boost To Libby

Posted: Updated:
LIBBY -

US Senator Max Baucus plans to breathe life into assistance efforts for asbestos victims before he leaves office.

Tomorrow, the Senator will be in Libby along with the top official in charge of Medicare to Libby, Marilyn Tavenner.

Part of the day will be spent in the Libby cemetery, where families grieving the loss of loved ones can share their stories.

Tavenner will meet asbestos victims currently benefiting from Medicare coverage too.

Baucus also plans to show Tavenner how the Affordable Care Act is working in rural Montana clinics at the Northwest Community Health Center in Lincoln County.

The event is slated to start at 11 a.m.
