Market on Front Opens Doors

MISSOULA -

A new market offering fresh, local foods officially opened its doors Monday on the ground level of Missoula's newest parking garage on Front Street.

The Market on Front offers made-to-order salads and sandwiches, as well as a variety of grab-n-go meals.

Customers can also grab goods from a few small grocery aisles and a wine selection.

Owners said the market had a successful "test run" last week, with positive feedback from community members who stopped by the new spot.

"I think the goal is to really create a community marketplace, where people can try chef-inspired meals, grab-n-go meals, local, healthy product at a reasonable price in a convenient location," said market owner Ben Sokoloski.

The market is modeled after Whole Foods -- whose owner began the business in parking garages in the 80's.
