Lolo Creek residents between mm 25-15 have been given pre-evacuation notices.

Residents with disabilities or immobility are encouraged to evacuate as quickly as possible. Residents that have not yet received notification in the surrounding area are asked to ready their family and animals for evacuation. If further assistance is needed to evacuate animals, emergency staging for large livestock and horses will be at the Missoula County Fair Grounds.

Lolo Elementary School is currently staging as an evacuation site. An up-to-the-minute information line for public inquiry is available regarding evacuated areas 406-258-INFO or (258-4636). DNRC also has information available at Lolo Superstop at Highway 12 and 93 until 9:00 p.m. this evening.

Tonight's meeting has been postponed until 9 p.m. and will be held at the Lolo Super-Stop.

Fire, law enforcement, and emergency management officials will meet with the public tonight at 6 to brief them on the West Fork Two Fire, which is very near the Schoolhouse Fire.

The meeting will take place at Traveler's Rest State Park in Lolo. The West Fork Two Fire is now about 2,000 acres.

Missoula County Office of Emergency Services has established a hotline for landowners and residents in the fire area.

The Schoolhouse Fire near Lolo is now "several hundred" acres and spreading quickly.

Cindy Super with the Montana DNRC said the fire is threatening at least eight homes and crews are working on structure protection. Residents in the Bear Creek area are evacuated and Highway 12 is now closed.
