Daines Travels to Israel, Talks Jobs

Posted: Updated:

WASHINGTON D.C. - Congressman Steve Daines travels to Israel for a week to talk peace, politics and Montana jobs.

Daines will meet with top Israeli and Palestinian officials, including the President of Israel Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas.

Daines, who sits on the Homeland Security Committee, will discuss Israel's relationship with several Montana companies that develop products for the Israeli defense system, including Kalispell-based Sonju Industrial.

The trip is sponsored by the American Industrial Educational Foundation and Daines says he hopes his visit will expand business opportunities between the region and Montana.
