For the 6th year in a row, Chicks and Chaps is hosting a series of events at the Western Montana Fair all to raise awareness and money for breast cancer victims. Raise awareness and money for victims of breast cancer.
Chicks and Chaps is famous for holding the Women's Rodeo Clinic to raise money for the local fight against breast cancer.
The first ever barrel racing event was held on Friday. It's just one of the many activities happening for Chicks and Chaps. The racing event was Calcutta, meaning the racer who on the winning person gets part of the proceeds.
The race was part of the Women's Rodeo Clinic, which invites women to come and learn all there is to rodeo.
"This touches our community so much," said Suzanne Buzby said. "We're here so many people talking about this all year round, and this is our huge event where we come here and you can see these women let loose. Their in it for the right reason and having fun."
All of the proceeds from the event go to the local campaign, Tough Enough to Wear Pink of Montana.
