Football is back in the state of Montana, as Montana State opened up practice this week. The three time defending Big Sky Conference champions want to get better every practice every drill every scrimmage, but they do all those things for a much larger goal this season.

"We're gonna try to get our 4th conference championship and then straight on to the national championship. That's the goal every year and we're gonna try and get that done," said senior defensive tackle Craig Ashworth.

"Of curse that's our goal but we gotta make sure we get our job done as individuals our motto of the year is,  "You can count on me today." So that's exactly what we're focusing on makings sure we can count on the other guy," said senior quarterback DeNarius McGhee.

Now this was the first day in shoulder pads, and there was a visible difference in intensity and focus.

"We were hungry today we were chippy and getting after it which I Love. I though we came out with great intensity for being in pads and we're hungry and we have big expectations and we're ready to fill them," said Ashworth.

"Yesterday we didn't feel like our pursuit at the end of the play was very good some guys were quitting 10 yards and we wanted them to go 20 and we told them we would find that on film and we did and we called out guys and I thought guys were finishing plays much better today," said Head Coach Rob Ash.
