    Verne Troyer, the actor best-known for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers series of comedy films has died. He was 49 years old. Representatives issued a statement on the actor's Facebook page Saturday saying in part, "Verne was an extremely caring individual. He wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh. Anybody in need, he would help to any extent possible."

    NORTHPORT, Wash. - A 22-year-old Eastern Washington University student is facing charges after he organized a party for his fraternity at a Northport lodge that resulted in thousands of dollars in damage. When reserving the lodge, he told the owner it was to host a Washington State University bird watchers club.

    SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. The Spokane Valley Police Department wants parents to be away of an incident reported earlier this week where a young female student saw a man while walking to and from school on the same day last week. The man's suspicious behavior was concerning to the student, but his intentions are not known. Police say attempts to locate and identify the man have not been successful and no similar incidents have been reported.
